3D Modeling contest: Excalibur

3D Modeling contest: Excalibur

Win excellent prizes by creating simple, but appealing 3D scene!

Model the legendary sword of the King Author - Excalibur.
Excalibur is often identified with the sword in the stone, but your sword may be modeled both separately - as a sword without any environment, and with supplementary environment - a stone, hill or cave where the sword is lightened by the rays of the rising sun, or any other environment.
You are to decide what your model is going to be. Clearly, the more appealing and detailed your model is, more chances you have to win.

Modeling contest assignment:

  • Model Excalibur sword separately or in the environment.
  • Render the result.
  • Post rendered pictures on your Facebook and/or Instagram and/or VK accounts using hashtag: #cgtariancontest1712mod, along with the link to this contest page: cgtarian.com/modeling-contest

Also feel free to post work in progress images - sketches, screenshots, ideas, etc. using the same hashtag: #cgtariancontest1712mod
We will repost them and we all will be able to comment on them.

Number of entries from one participant is not limited. Post as many images as you want. More entries - more chances to win.

Remember about details, they tell a lot about the object and its story. Designs, engravings, scratches, ornaments and other details will tell more than words.

This contest is attractive both by its subject and its artistic challenge. Moreover, you have an excellent opportunity to win the prizes!
